Bass Heavy.

So we got a little new thing happening.

We hate having time off on the bank holidays so we thought we’d well and truly scupper August one by doing a gig on the Sunday night.

So we phoned a venue, got some DJs signed up, threw together some art and that was about it… oh yeah, and we needed a name, so we called it Bass Heavy. I reckon that’s pretty cool.

It’s not just us using our One Nation name though, we’ve teamed up with the guys at Innovation… two heads and all that.

We only put it out there today but the response is good. People seem to like the line up which is always a great starting point… and they’re not wrong - it’s a strong list with lots of highlights and plenty to see across the three rooms at Proud 2.

So, if you fancy it, come on down… and the best bit? Well because it’s a bank holiday, you’ve got the Monday to recover.

These are men. One of them is Camo, and the other is Krooked. Decent chaps the pair of them. If you want proof of this you can see them playing at One Nation on the 28th May at the O2 Academy in Bournemouth. So fine, upstanding Austrians Reinhard Rietsch and Markus Wagner are ‘pon the DJ bill with Andy C, DJ Hype, Scratch Perverts, Hazard, Sigma, Subzero and The Prototypes, Nicky Blackmarket & Phantasy, along with Skiba, Eksman, Harry Shotta, IC3, GQ, Felon & Skydro… with a few more for good measure in room 2. Sadly, ain’t nuthin’ in life fo’ free, so we’re gonna have to charge you for a ticket. Only £17.50 though, so it’s not all bad.

Hardcore Heaven do a gig called the Summer Session, every, uh… summer. It’s at the O2 Academy Bournemouth, and this year falls on Friday 1st July. So if you want to come to a party this summer and you like listening to music from Sy & Unknown, Darren Styles, Angerfist (grrr), Gammer, Hixxy, Re-Con, Marc Smith, Klubfiller, Mark EG & DJ MOB, whilst MC Storm, Whizzkid, Enemy, Static, Keyes and Skatty shout at you on the microphone then we have something for you. You might be able to turn up on the door, grab a ticket and go in. But then again, if spontaneity isn’t your thing, you can always get a ticket in advance from http://shop.slamminvinyl.com

The date for Westfest this year has been announced… it’s back on the 29th October 2011. It’s news. Westfest is big in the game. It happens every year at a place called the Royal Bath & West Showground in Shepton Mallet. There are loads of arenas, more DJs and artists and even more people there to watch, listen and have a little dance. If you haven’t been, you should. And if you have, we’ll see you there.

Joey Riot is a G.

He’s written a tune especially for the Hardcore Heaven Weekender. That’s dedication and it deserves your respec’.

It came out today and it’s called “You’ll Never Know”.

You can download it for free, or we can let you have the WAV for 20p. Who said inflation is up?

The second installment from Hardcore’s very own ‘cockneys meet the scousers’
venture.

This release features the long-awaited vocal smash from the last
HTID album, Sy & Re-con’s “Touch Me”, while on the flip the dancefloor
devastating and highly sought-after “The Art Of Fighting”, which has that
sample from Sherlock Holmes that everyone’s talking about, finally sees a
release, originally written by Re-con & Chris Unknown and given a subtle
re-touch by the Quosh boys. BIG!!
